Cant find the request attributes after a forward from an Action(in struts app)? after hours of debugging and several minutes of googling the solution turns out to be simple. If you want your request attributes to be present in the request object after the forward you must set redirect="false" since redirect="true" will entail that the request (HttpServletRequest object) is flushed out on which the attributes are saved. So no wonder u are unable to get
the request attributes.

sqldialect problem in hibernate
got a sqldialect problem in hibernate ... it may be due to the unmatch in the sqldialect provided in the configuration in the xml(if you are configuring thru hibernate.cfg.xml) or in the properties (hibernate.properties) file with the database u r using ... say if u r using mysql and the dialect is for MS SQL or Oracle u cant expect it to work. sounds incrediblely foolish mistake isnt it ... ? but then that is the reason it is so difficult to point out.

in quest of a new opportunity
in this hour of crisis ... only the torch of hope is giving me the guide to move ahead in the everlasting tunnel of doom and gloom ... indeed metaphors are relatively inadequate to describe the sense of worthlessness and futility which embeds my mind. even as the projects dry up and enterprises refuse to revert , I am unable to understand where to go ... till at last by god's holy grace I am seeing a little flicker of hope ... yeah I am hoping to go open source and freelancing ... and only the almighty knows what it holds for me ... even as I go in this unknown and if I may say so (at the risk of being called proud ) a bit adventurous , I entreat the Fate Turner to have a sheilding hand on my work ... By the way 2morrow we are going on trekking ... I need this break to break the monotony of my existence and recharge my batteries ... which may propel me to ... drive me to ... best of my potential ...
